Walt Disney Mickey’s Pal Pluto 1933 Commemorative Snow Globe. Featuring Mickey Mouse alongside Pluto and a crate of kittens surrounding the glass globe. Showcases characters and kittens from the classic 1933 Disney short Mickey’s Pal Pluto. Designers: Kevin Kidney and Jody Daily. The text and logo on the bottom of the base explicitly dedicate this piece as a “Pluto 75th Year” commemorative release by Walt Disney Collectibles. The anniversary celebrates both Pluto’s first appearance in The Chain Gang (1930) and his first heroic feat rescuing kittens from an icy river in Mickey’s Pal Pluto (1933). Even though Mickey Mouse and the kittens are prominently featured, they were selected because the entire snow globe is designed to recreate a classic winter scene from the 1933 Disney short film, Mickey’s Pal Pluto. In the animated short, Pluto rescues a basket of eleven abandoned kittens from a storm, but then grows jealous when Mickey lets them into the house and gives them all the attention. The snow globe captures this exact cartoon moment, which is why Pluto’s head is designed to bobble, and the characters are painted in nostalgic sepia and muted tones. The brass plaque on the front of the wooden base reads “Mickey’s Pal Pluto 1933″, directly honoring the name and release year of Pluto’s famous short. Released by Disney as part of their vintage-inspired commemorative series. The snowglobe was produced purely as a hand-painted, sculpted resin figurine base featuring Pluto’s spring-loaded bobblehead accent. The piece is a beautifully crafted, silent commemorative tribute to Pluto’s 75th milestone, focusing entirely on the aesthetics of the 1933 Disney animated short film. 9″ tall x 8.25″ wide. Perfectly preserved; retrieved from dark storage since the item was first released.

It is one of the most beautiful ever produced! This 40th anniversary globe recreates the Jolly Holiday sequence with Mary, Bert and the Penguins. Designed by Jody Daily. Music: Jolly Holiday plays while Mary and Bert spin inside the globe. Size: Approximately 10H x 16.5L x 12W with weight 16 pounds. The box was in very poor shape and destroyed. Great condition but please view photographs to judge. The last photo is for information only about this piece and not included. I try to take many photos to represent my items accurately.
