This commemorates the 35th anniversary of the film MARY POPPINS. In scene 534, holding her magical snow globe of St. Pauls Cathedral, Mary tells the children about the bird woman who feeds the birds. Approximately 6″ tall with a 1″ tall stand, for a total of 7. Instead of snow, a flock of doves floats around St. Comes with a heavy beveled stand made to look like black marble with a black felt bottom and a plaque that reads: Commemorative Snow globe of St. Paul’s Cathedral from Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins Premiere Date: August 27, 1964 Scene 534, featuring the song “Feed the Birds” by Richard M. RARE 40th Anniversary of Mary Poppins “Jolly Holiday” Musical & Moving Snowglobe. This gorgeous snowglobe is in wonderful condition. It plays music beautifully and the movement feature functions perfectly well. Weighing almost 15 pounds, it’s truly an impressive work of art, that looks wonderful displayed on a shelf or table. The only flaw that I could find, to note, is that there is a small scratch on the wooden base on the backside (See Photos). So, please take a look at our other snowglobe and Disneyana listings! What you are seeing in second photo is the birds that fly around the snow globe when shaken. They are small plastic pieces, probably about 300 of them. When shaken, the birds, air bubbles and glitter create stormy appearance, like the globe in the movie does as Mary Poppins shakes it. When displayed and sitting it is very clear with no marks in glass. Does not have black base piece.
