What you are seeing in second photo is the birds that fly around the snow globe when shaken. They are small plastic pieces, probably about 300 of them. When shaken, the birds, air bubbles and glitter create stormy appearance, like the globe in the movie does as Mary Poppins shakes it. When displayed and sitting it is very clear with no marks in glass. Does not have black base piece.
