Disney Mary Poppins Feed The Birds Commemorative Snow Globe of St. Plays “Feed The Birds”. Premiere Date August 27, 1964. By Richard M and Robert B Sherman. This is one of the rarest snowglobes in Disney history, often considered a holy grail among collectors; it is the Mary Poppins Commemorative Snowglobe featuring St. This snow globe is in very good condition (please see pictures). The snow globe stands on the mahogany base and is approximately 7″ in height and 4″ in diameter. It weighs 1 lb 14 ounces without the mahogany stand and 3 lbs with it. When you shake the globe, white “birds” flock around the cathedral. The music box is in working order and plays “Feed the Birds” when activated. For any collector, especially the Disney Collector, this is a must have rare collectible. As any collector knows, a rare collectible such as this should only continue to increase in value over the coming years. Please note I do not have the original box, the globe does come from a smoke-free home, and please ask any questions you need. Up for sale is a very rare Mary Poppins Cathedral snow globe, item is used, the item has flaws as describe below. THE ITEM IS MISSING THE BASE and a FEW CHIPS ON THE CERAMIC GOLD BASE and A SCRATCH TO THE GLOBE. The wind up musical part of the item works great, and works with no problem. Again this item is not complete, as it is misisng the black base and there is no box that comes with the sale. You will receive exactly what you see in the pictures.
